Mommy daycare

This week has been a bit of a challenge with Adam in CA all week and a nice little snow storm that closed day care at 3 pm yesterday and had it opening late today. I was up at 6 am this morning shoveling. I can't remember the last time I spent an hour shoveling (maybe never) and I certainly wouldn't be sad if I never had to do it again! I've managed to snap a few shots on my phone that I've been sending to daddy so thought I would share.

Throwback Thursday

This is a short throwback - to Christmas - when Jackson took a swim and decided to taste the pool water.

Packers 21 Bears 14

Jackson and Daddy donned their Packers gear and were all smiles after the Packers victory today that is sending them to their first Super Bowl since 1998. We had fun rooting them on at a football bash that Amanda and her FIANCE Paul had at their house. Lots of reasons to celebrate!

Crab cakes

I thought it would be nice to have a few pictures of Jackson with G-mommy Kate and Matt, since Jackson had never met Matt before. The pictures tell the story on how that idea went.....

Jackson's first go with a sippy cup when he was 6 months old. Moobies!

Badger Christmas

On Christmas Eve, we also had some Hardt family photos taken with a "Sconnie" theme. Some were serious, most not so much. Jazz hands!

Jackson & Madison

Jackson enjoyed having another little one his age to play with ("play" being loosely used as they pretty much ignored each other) until he decided he wasn't happy there was another baby who was getting mommy's attention.

Then & Now

Michelle, Tim and Madison came down to Milwaukee for an afternoon visit. This was us on December 28.......
And a flashback to the last time we saw them on May 6th in Wilmington. I think Michelle still has the same baby, but I'm not sure I do!

Christmas Day

Christmas Day was spent at Grandma Honey and G-Pop's house. There were presents, food, lots of love and Jackson's very first set of Matchbox cars for the Thundershift 500 track.

Christmas Eve

Our Christmas holiday started with our arrival in Milwaukee on Christmas Eve. Jackson was so tired from being such a busy body on the plane that he took a little nap under the Christmas tree.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care! Jackson had his very own Wisconsin Snowman stocking.

Then it was off to the mall for a quick, last minute visit with Santa. We stood in line for about 45 minutes, met a new friend we lovingly refer to as "Cousin Vinny", and then it was Jack's turn to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas.

As you can see, Jackson was trying to figure out who this new guy was! And then we went home and listened to Uncle Aaron play some music.

Ornaments and Stockings

It has taken me almost a month to dig out of the holidays, but wanted to share Jackson's first Christmas before it's his second! A little glimpse of the personalized Christmas decorations he received.

11 month update

Weight: 24 lbs 13 oz - mommy has me on a baby diet! Or it's all that walking I've been doing!

Length: 29.5 inches

Visitors: Nick came this past weekend to visit and go to the Packer game with mommy and daddy. The Packers beat the Eagles and my mommy & daddy even made it home alive. Mommy said I can't be a football player and that I can't go to an Eagles game anytime soon. When we were in WI over Christmas, Michelle, Tim and Madison came down to Milwaukee to visit us as well.

Sleeping patterns: I'm back to being a really good sleeper at night. I still take two naps during the day, but daddy has been warning me that when I move to the one year old room at daycare, I won't have a crib anymore, and will only get one nap!

My Likes: I love walking, walking with my remote control, showing everyone my butt crack, shaking my head no, feeding myself foods like Cheerios and goldfish, kicking the ball, dancing to music and reading books.

My Dislikes: I don't like when I'm investigating what is in cupboards and drawers and mommy tries to trick me into being interested in something else.

Other milestones: I took my first steps on December 18th! Over Christmas, I perfected my form and was walking all over the place and barely crawling any more. I'm also pretty good at drinking from a real cup (move over sippy cup!) assuming my mommy holds it for me. I've been saying "da da" for quite some time now and have muttered a couple of "ma mas" as well.

Trips: We went back to Wisconsin on Christmas Eve and spent Christmas in Milwaukee. On my mommy's birthday, we went to Grandpa Hanson's house in Tomah for a couple of days. Then, it was back to Milwaukee on New Years so mommy and daddy could go out. I spent my first night without both of them at Grandma Honey and G-Pop's house.

Looking forward to in the next month: Going to Aruba on my first birthday! I've got my passport and am ready to go play in the sand.
